Environmental protection

Romania has high levels of air pollution, particularly in urban areas. A 2020 report from the European Environment Agency found that Bucharest, Romania's capital, had the highest levels of PM2.5 pollution of any capital city in the EU.

Construction creates an estimated third of the world's overall waste and at least 40% of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions. We are attuned to contribute to the reduction of these harmful effects.

Climate change is also affecting Romania, with the country experiencing more frequent and severe floods, heatwaves, and droughts in recent years, according to a 2020 report from the European Commission.
